My favourite satay stall, have been eating this since forever. Have not been frequent this stall ever since I moved to punggol.

This satay is so good, u don't have to dip into the peanut sauce.

The queue for this stall can get ridiculously long at times.

- juicy and fragrant
- best buy at 45c per stick
- be prepared to wait as the queue is long
- the satay is definitely worth the wait

Chai Ho Satay continues to enjoy long lines, due to its affordable Pork and Chicken Satay, priced at 45cents per stick (minimum order of 10). Their meats are well marinated and infused with delicious, well balanced flavours. The popular Pork Satay comes with heavenly sweet layer of fat that added a nice crunch and light char.

I was slightly disappointed that the peanut sauce did not come with pineapple puree, but at least it was thick and luscious – not too oily too.

Delicious satays with a flavor profile that slightly resembles bak kwa (of which they also sell). I almost dabao-ed the peanut sauce to eat with bread for breakfast 😜😜

If you look into the stall, you'll see hundreds of sticks ready to be grilled. But don't be deceived, they fly off the shelf come meal time! Go early to avoid disappointment!

Seductively smoky and well charred, these fatty pieces of pork satays were very well marinated. Unfortunately the chicken were cold so they weren't as good. Peanut sauce was extremely fragrant, thick and chunky.

Always curious about Chai Ho's satay and bak kwa since there's always long queues especially during CNY. Both chicken and pork satays are available, well marinated and BBQ-ed over charcoal. Some sticks were charred though, while some had tiny pieces of meat, but well, what more to ask for at a cheap price of 42 cents per stick! They also sell the raw ones at 36 cents per stick.

But what really stood out is the peanut sauce. Each dip was nothing but full of chopped peanuts! Just couldn't stop eating the sauce even after finishing the satays. You could really taste the fragrant aroma of roasted peanuts in the sauce, without it being too oily or spicy. Don't think I have ever come across a stall with satay sauce like this! I was given a huge pack of sauce even when I only bought 10 sticks of satay. Btw, refills of sauce seemed to be allowed for customers eating there!

Also got some bak kwa ($38/kg). The sweetness of the honey glazed bak kwa reminded me of those I have eaten during my childhood days. Each slice was of reasonable thickness and tenderness, which was nice to chew without hurting my teeth!
