Was thinking this looks like kinda suitable pic for Halloween. But it's actually very good pandan charcoal toast. Between the choice of Butter or Charcoal Toasts, and between Pandan or Thai Milk Tea dip, this is my recommended combination.

The toast cubes are buttered and crisp but not dry. The pandan dip was creamy with a swirl of coconut milk which was rather thick - so thick that it wasn't easy capturing the drip. It also has a pleasant fragrance of pandan, and I was told they had used real pandan leaves to create the dip.

Toasted crisply and buttered, love the taste with the green sauce πŸ˜‹ yum yum!

Had this 1-1 boat noodle from Burpple promotion.
Portion is quite big, worth a try.

This bowl of boat noodles had a thick and rich broth. Was told that it was painstakingly slow-boiled for hours, using more than 15 types of herbs. It was indeed really flavorful. The spice may be too mild for some, but you've the option to request for it to be extra spicy.

I like their prawn cakes, it was thick and juicy, and fillings felt genuine. Was told that they were made of tiger prawns, and Cha Thai is good for theie tiger prawns dishes. Mop this up with a bit of the Thai sweet plum sauce which @wishuponatart was pictured holding it here. It was a great treat. Taken during a tasting.

A platter of golden brown toast and charcoal toast, alongside a Thai milk tea dip and a pandan dip.
.
The toast is lovely and crisp, though I don't detect much difference between the regular version and the charcoal version.
.
But the luscious, creamy dipping sauces are delicious; the pandan / screwpine leaf dip is floral earthy sweet, while the Thai milk tea is nicely balanced, just like their beverage.

Craving for a cool dessert to end the day, like these Red Ruby swimming in coconut milk goodness. Even better is the Emerald Jade (Green Ruby) at Cha Thai with a smidgen more refreshing crunch factor.

Located near Telok Ayer mrt, I had walked past Cha Thai on numerous occasions and been wanting to try. During lunch time, there's even a queue waiting to "da bao" charcoal toast with dips. Believe in using quality ingredients to whipped up authentic Thai dishes even sauces, gravy, curry etc are all made in house from scratch. Devouring everything from Crispy Crab Cake ($15) and Saute Egg Plant with Sweet Basil ($16) to SautΓ©ed Crab Meat ($35) and Pad Thai ($22), we were so stuffed before we even gotten to desserts!

This was one of the dishes I felt was more value for money - it didn't felt like a salad at all, prawns were HUGEEEE and I really love the accompanying "sauce" of minced meat, spices, onions... giving it a nice heat and a great appetiser to start of our meal πŸ˜‹

Crisp deep fried spring roll sticks (that remind of of those little prawn rolls at CNY) with a crab cream sauce. Something about fried spring roll pastry that keeps me snacking on them addictively.
