Yong Tau Foo ($4.70) for ingredients was taste much better previously that I have tried in the past. I think some ingredients got a lot of variety to choose from but for soup otherwise was slightly oily. For yong tau foo can choose between soup and dry base and six ingredients + extra charge for kolo mee.

From Fatty Cat Curry Rice
Delicious plate of savory minced pork patty, Chinese cabbages, and sliced bitter gourd over rice, drizzled with flavorful braised sauce.
A steal at $4.80!
Flavorful, satisfying, and affordable.
Get a bowl of winter melon soup at $3!

I love a good bowl of noodles and the Hakka Noodles from Fifty Year Yong Tau Foo is a good one I need to share!

At $5.50, the biggest portion possible, the bowl came with a substantial amount of noodles with quite a few Yong tau foo ingredients like meatballs and bean curd skin. The noodles itself were springy, and heavily seasoned by their signature chilli sauce which had alot of umami coming from the dried shrimp used. It is topped with small pieces of pork lard which added extra richness and texture!

The yong tau foo ingredients were rather decent and my favourite got to be their meatballs which were quite huge and meaty. I love how they did not neglect their soup, as it was a rich broth and comforting, all without being too salty.

This is one place you gotta eat while you're here at Holland Drive Food Centre!

Still feeling peckish after my bowl of fishball noodles, I ordered a plate of Chee cheong fun from this stall. At $2.00, it is again under sized in my opinion.

Quite normal taste, nothing to get excited about. Perhaps the taste would be better if I had asked for chilli sauce to be added.

Arrived at 6.50am and already there was a queue even though they were supposed to open at 7am. They have two stalls here, one selling fishball noodles and the other selling Bak Chor Mee. The latter was not open yet at the time of my visit.

Ordered Fishball Mee Kia dry, $5.00 for extra ingredients. The noodles were Al dente and chilli sauce goes well with the noodles. Piquant and packing quite a bit of heat, although a bit greasy.

The fishballs were of uneven shapes, given that they were hand made. Very bouncy and tasty, definitely beats the factory types you get from most noodle stalls.

The portion was small though, even at $5.00 a bowl so can’t really claim value for money.

Overall one of the better fishball noodles in Singapore.

ordered the seafood soup and braised duck. the seafood was very fresh and soup was very flavourful. the duck was slightly overcooked but surprisingly yummy as well

Had the red grouper fish soup and yong tau foo. All ingredients were prepped amazingly well, fish was super fresh and soft with zero fishy taste, although the ingredients for the ytf could have been tastier. Really delicious broth and homely taste!

I ordered the Red Grouper Fish Soup (Big) ($14.50) that comes with minced pork. The soup was really flavourful and has a rich seafood taste. The ingredients were fresh and generous too. Overall it’s a very hearty bowl of soup, and perfect for rainy cold weather 👍🏻😄

dory fish soup - warm, comforting soup with fresh quality and generous portions of fish slices and minced pork used

ginger braised duck - not a common dish that can be found in many establishments and just feels super homely, love the savoury, rich braised soya sauce and suited for even people. who dont like ginger as it isnt very overpowering. tender duck though some pieces are more boney than meaty

rec the place for good quality and generous portion sizes and friendly staffs though the price point is on higher end

Was CRAY-ving for a soul-soothing bowl of Seafood Soup and popped by Jia Li Seafood Soup 佳麗海鮮湯 @jialiseafoodsoup at its Holland Village outlet! They do not scrimp on ingredients here - this stacked bowl with meatballs, crayfish, prawns & fish slices says it all. While lighter compared to Yan Ji's, the broth here is still relatively umami-packed with dried scallop sweetness and pork bones while being way more generous in portion. I seldom eat crayfish at most places because I tend to get mostly shell with little meat 90% of the time, but the crayfish I got came with chunky, sweet flesh. The prawns here are also really succulent and huge, and the handmade minced meatballs were decent. Went for dory this time but if you want something with a firmer meat texture, go for red grouper instead!

📍 Address: 33 Lor Liput, Singapore 277744. Open 11 am -10 pm. Other outlets across Singapore include Woodlands, Upp Serangoon and Upper Changi.

I recently visited their outlet and tried their batang fish soup and their signature seafood soup. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with the delicate sweetness of the dory and batang fish blending seamlessly with the rich flavours of the clayfish.

Would highly recommend their Seafood Soup and it is a must-try for seafood enthusiasts and food lovers alike. I will definitely be returning for more!
