Two Chefs has been an institution here at commonwealth, has been here for over a decade at least.
Everyone's must have dish when they come to 2 Chefs, is the butter Pork Ribs, a dish with tender de-boned Pork Ribs bathed in butter powder snow.
I recommend ordering large portion even for 2 pax, as any other portion surely not enough. If eating in a group, just order 2 large portions.
Ngoh Hiang not bad.
We went for their 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝘁 & 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵 🐟, which was served bubbling hot in a sizable fish stewing dazzling fiery red broth 🍲. Surprisingly the spice level was perfectly manageable for us 🌶️, it wasn’t overwhelming and we could still appreciate the shiok flavours of the fish and sauce!
Veggies were clean and fresh, not too oily or salty we had 2 plates of this
Simple but one of their best dishes. Not too oily, well seasoned and just went so well with the spicy and flavourful dishes
This was spicier than the grilled fish and salty as well. The fried chicken was satisfyingly fried, we just wish it wasn’t so spicy
Squid was soft and chewy, with the sauce tasting very similar to gochujang but it was a bit too intense, maybe it would taste better with the sauce thinned abit more
Sichuan food tends to be super flavourful 🤤, so do make a special request (less spicy or salt) if you want! What’s more, kids below 1.1m dine FREE, so feel free to bring the little ones along too! (they have non-spicy dishes) 🫶🏻
.
It’s worth noting that they take food wastage pretty seriously and you will only be able to order additional dishes after you finish your food from the first order :”)
buffet buffet 不肥不肥 🤭~
Redeemed the one-for-one Wagyu Short. Nice. Restaurant is not busy. The chicken soup base feels like collagen, quite tasty too.
The gnocchi was a little dry inside, it's not as fluffy as it should be. Very mild sauce even tho ingredients were generous. Overall meh
The round ones are decent with a petty crunchy crust. The flat ones are terrible
It's an almost biscuity crust, quite decent but overall, very mild and the bars of asparagus were abit weird. Oozy egg was ok but honestly get something with meat
thin crust pizza! bf said he liked the ham bc it wasn't sliced too thinly & had good flavour to it. personally, i didn't like the greens on it - tasted really grassy :-(
