The folks at Kam Wah Bakery in Hong Kong elevate that by a mile by using homemade butter. Deep fried to a unhealthy golden and doused in syrup, regular french toasts don’t stand a chance.

On a side note, some cantonese meal with soup would do great right now.
P.S. Standing on a bus driven by a reckless driver going on a 1 hour+ journey with our poor legs, can't wait for dinner.

Instead of the usual wintermelon paste, it features black sesame paste. The paste's earthy toastiness counters flawlessly with the buttery flakes of the pastry. So much love. Ok, that's all.
