Crispy pork lard truffle noodles! The noodles are al dente and the truffle oil and pork lard made this so delicious and flavourful. 🍝 We also had the drunken chicken was quite herbal in taste and the XLB that was so spicy 🌶!!

I was pretty intrigued by the end of the flowery description from the in charge who introduced the dish. And there was a lot of steam once out for us to sample. But sadly it was too overwhelming for my tastebuds. I believe it might be due to the previous truffle flavoured noodles, so I didn’t fully appreciate this one. If I revisit here again, I will re-evaluate my review again.

Most places that sell truffles flavoured food are pretty stingy with it, but not for this place when we dug in. Right from the first mouth, the truffle oil overwhelms you. And the Noodles texture just keeps you slurping for more. Don’t forget their Crispy Pork bits ! Crunchy with so much love <3

Exactly how I like my drunken chicken, cold yet tender and drenched in alcohol taste with every bite. Using the finest Huadiao wine for this, I honestly could get drunk on this.

This dish was so unassuming yet delivers such a punch to your senses when you’ve savoured it in your mouth. The truffle oil greatly compliments the yellow noodles used in this dish. If you’re a fan of the pork lard bits in your Chinese dishes, you’ll be happy with the generous bits that have been sprinkled in this dish.

Expected this to be a more savory dish with some sweetness from the goji berries but it was a tad one dimensional for us, as flavours were mostly dominated by the rice wine.

Looks like any other ordinary XLBs but it was way spicier than any I’ve tried. Significant amount of minced pork and shredded crabmeat packed in each pocket, but I felt like the chili crab sauce could be tuned down a little for the pomelo and pork flavours to come through more.

A simple dish of tossed al dente noodles with a touch of truffle oil. Whiffs of truffle were much stronger than it tasted but the cubes of crispy pork lard were shiok and not greasy! Might be a little bland for some especially if you’re expecting strong heavy flavours, but top it off with their chili paste for that helpful fragrant spicy kick. A rather hearty option but really kinda expected more from this!

Blue lotus is having a lunch set promotion which includes selected mains and a complimentary signature flavored tea leaf egg at $12++. A few chef recommendations on the menu but the idea of a huge chicken drumstick won me over eventually.

The noodles came with a choice of soup or dry. I had the soup while my friend had the dry. The springy noodles was similar to that of Chinese la mian. I would have preferred the dry version but more sauce to be given definitely, as the soup was oily and tasteless. The highlight surely did not disappoint. Grilled to the tender extent of tearing the chicken meat of the drumstick, it was also well marinated with soya sauce that gave the skin a shiny glacé.

Truffle was rather strong and noodles weren't exceptional. Doused in soy sauce, let's just say crispy pork lard always saves the day

This is one huge XLB I have ever eaten. Each thinly skinned XLB was bountifully stuffed with spicy shredded crabmeat and minced pork. Not friendly for non-spicy takers, the soup was fiery and oily. Felt like my mouth was on fire for a moment, but oooh still good still shiok. Couldn't taste any citrusy pomelo flavor at all with all that spiciness.

Simple, but tasty! Will order again.

Chilli Pomelo Crab Meat & Minced Pork Xiao Long Bao

Pretty good, quite spicy.

Whilst being crabmeat-light, this urgently wet xiao long bao possesses the fierce, relentless feist of a big-moled Army Market hawker auntie. Undoubtedly the spiciest xiao long bao I've ever tried. 4.1/5

You cannot go wrong with drunken chicken 🍗

My only gripe with it was that it was too greasy.
