Day 19: We enjoy getting our Kuehs at Toa Payoh outlet as the staffs are very friendly compared to another branch. Sometimes we lost count that it’s been 19 Kuehs we had so far out of 20 Kuehs goal we set.
.
Getuk Ubi might not be everyone’s cup of tea as the tapioca/ cassava at the bottom is quite starchy (blame it on us that we put it in a fridge before sharing between us). Anyhow, the orangy grated coconut save the day for sweet tooth like us. Dear Getuk Ubi, we might revisit you again if we need some energy! 💪
Day 18: Mellow texture both Green Pandan and coconut cream layers. Fell head over heels for this natural looking Kueh 😍
Day 17: A slight twist to Kueh Talam is this Talam Gula Melaka. Salty top (coconut milk, rice flour) and sweet bottom (gula Melaka) just like most things in life. 😸
Day 16: May we go against the flow and enjoy this Lemper Udang. It is not everyone cup of tea for the savoury shrimp filling wrapped with glutinous rice. For those who love it salty and sweet, this one is for you! 😁🤘
Day 8: “Getuk getuk” What a rustic & simple styled Kueh! Each getuk getuk is made with cassava and then coated by grated coconut. We find it quite 2 dimension and yearn for some wow factor! 🤩
Day 7: What a worthy buy! Each Kueh cube is divine (soft & wobbly). 🤤 It is made with gula Melaka + topiaca flour topped with grated coconut. One is never enough 👌
P.S. forgot to share this yesterday for our Kueh challenge 😅 “it’s ok to fail but just make sure you get back up!”
