The mushrooms were too salty and spoiled the whole dish.

Crab meat was fresh and sweet. Good!

𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 ($7): While the strips of chicken breast were moderately juicy, we thought they were over-fried as some parts of the skin were charred. The prawn paste wasn't very distinct as well.

𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀 & 𝗧𝗼𝗳𝘂 ($10): This came with shimeji mushrooms, tofu cubes, pickled onions, an onsen egg and 𝘻𝘢𝘪 𝘦𝘳 over rice. I actually enjoyed this more than the bak chor rice bowl (the pork was under-seasoned, I felt), helped in no small part by the piquant pickled onions. The mushrooms were a tad too salty, though.

𝗦𝗲𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘁 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗶 ($5): Recommended by the waiter, these stalks of broccoli were fried till a nice crisp and addictively salty. We loved this dish.

𝗕𝗮𝗸 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 ($8): A novel take on the familiar 𝘣𝘢𝘬 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦𝘦 (minced meat noodles) ubiquitous in hawker centres, this features a generous amount of minced pork, an onsen egg and one piece of 𝘻𝘢𝘪 𝘦𝘳 (deep fried beancurd skin commonly seen in Chinese vegetarian rice stalls) on top of rice. Decent but not fantastic.
