Ya Kun Kaya Cream Puff

Because I grew up eating Kaya almost every weekday since my primary school days to even the times when I was studying in poly and that I just can't resist a cream puff, I just couldn't let this one just pass by.

As usual, opted for the Pie Crust that is crusty and crisp but it's always the cream that gets to me — eggy, creamy and just simply perfuming of Pandan flavour, this was one cream puff with a local taste that I truly enjoyed.

Strawberry Cookies & Cream Cocoa Puff

I am never too much a fan of Beard Papa's Cookie Crust (especially nowadays I am getting spoilt with those crusty Choux puffs from Shuu by KOKI Tamagoyaki), but I do enjoy having Beard Papa's for their monthly special cream puff flavours. For December and in line with Christmas, it's the Strawberries Cookies and Cream filling which comes smooth despite the cookie crumbs within that comes with a tinge of strawberry sweetness — pretty much suits the festive occasion!

Limited Edition: Melon Cream Puff ($3)

When you bite into a light-as-air puff fully filled with a fabulous Melon cream: 😄😄
When you are told tomorrow is the last day this flavour is available: 😟😟
When you are then informed the next flavour is Mango:💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

Missing this already.

Caramel flavour puff pastry in Beard Papa's newest pastry form, Paris Brest. It was available till yesterday. 😩

I've turned into a Matcha monster.

These were my desserts after lunch. ALL FOR MYSELF. ROAR.
.
MATCHA CREAM PUFF ($3) FROM @beardpapasg! I can't believe I haven't tried the puffs from them before because it's SO DAMN GOOD!
.
Crisp exterior with ALOT ALOT ALOT OF MATCHA CREAM. It was still bursting up till my very last bite!
.
And of course, the matcha float ($6) from @tsujiri_sg! Do note that this matcha puff is only available at the Clarke Quay Central and Bugis outlets!

Ya Kun's kaya in Beard Papa's puff ($3), what sorcery is this?!

Not the nicest of photos but damn this was good. A genius collaboration and as @ryllyx mentioned, an upgraded version of the Ya Kun kaya balls. Now I am totally craving for one more of these.

Had the matcha puff at beard papa and it was really good!!

Not too sweet with a tinge of bitter, this matcha puff is perfect in every way except that it was too flowly and difficult to eat 😂
