[CLOSED] Bakerzin (Gardens by the Bay)

$8++. I recall the best crab cakes I had was from Roosevelt in Outram which since had closed down. This version mixed with some tangy mango/pineapple purée isn’t that bad! Cake’s crispy, and crab filling is wholesome. Not too shabby!

This has a luscious, creamy rich and smooth texture to the cheesecake, with bits of grainy crunch from the Oreo cookie crumble base and top crust.

Has a delicate sweet cookie flavour, very nice. Not as dense on the palate as other versions elsewhere, so it's easy to eat.

Their nuggets are more value-for-money than anywhere else. And of decent quality too.

For this price, you get a bowl of 8 freshly fried chicken nuggets, hot and crisp and succulent, with good savoury salty flavour. Served with a creamy tomato aioli.

Their hot chocolate is rich and medium thick, with a smooth velvety texture, and bold chocolatey sweet flavour.

I've just tried Bakerzin Christmas offerings, and I like how fuss free it is. Simply reheat them in the oven or microwave and enjoy! I especially like the chicken teriyaki shepherds pie, and of course the very popular King's Bread as well. Pictured are:

Their Chicken Teriyaki Shepherd's Pie is layered with cheesy and sweet pumpkin and sweet potato mash pastry and filled with generous chunks of juicy teriyaki chicken and mushrooms. Its not as gelat as other Shepherd's Pie I've eaten, and it has an interesting flavour.
