Reviews

From the Burpple community

Tried this again after seeing consistent good reviews online - but same with my first visit, I find the buns too oily, and the patties tad bit lacking of seasoning (and a little dry). Fries are okay though slightly oily as well. Overall, still decent and could provide some burger craving fix. Might not try again soon cause 2/2 misses for me alr 🙃

@ashessgburnnit arose because of a split between the owners of Burgs by Project Warung. To differentiate themselves from Burgs, the owners tweaked the recipe and also introduced charcoal buns to their menu.

👉Ashes Smash Cheese Burger - SGD9
double handcrafted beef patty, american cheese, iceberg lettuce, signature sauce & fried shallots

Cooked fresh upon ordering, the burger I had didn’t meet my expectations. The beef patty was pretty dry and probably overcooked. I might be just unlucky that day…😂

With sunny side up. I wanted this to be good but a bad patty arrived. It was so sinewy I had to spit out something every bite. Can I say more? The truffle cream and sauteed mushrooms were fine.

We ordered the Ashes Smash Cheeseburger (double patty, $8.40 with fries) and the Mac & Cheese with truffle mushrooms ($6) as pictured. The meat patties were decent enough - ie worth a visit at this price point if you are in the area (we enjoyed a foodpanda 25% pickup discount) - though lacking a distinctive flavour, and were chewy at parts. The Mac & Cheese was pleasingly fragrant, thanks to the truffle oil. Ignore the surroundings in this hawker centre as you sink your teeth in…

Truffle mushroom burger had a strong truffle scent with a pillowy soft burger and slices of mushrooms. The meat was grilled nicely but a lil salty and lacked a beefy flavour.

this is Ashes Smash Cheese Burger #1 on the menu
