Towards another part of Singapore where we hardly would pass by, unless you working or living here. Here within a few minutes walk from Joo Koon MRT Station is this popular spot to grab meals.
The food court here is consider the much affordable, comparing with the rest in the country club.
Here you would find Meng Heng Minced Pork Noodles, which also popular among the eaters here.
Beside serving the usual minced pork noodle, they also have a specialty with additional items on it.
I definitely recommend you to go for the additional one as you get a very juicy pork trotter, together with the clams and fried wanton; on top of the usual braised mushroom, minced pork and fish cake.
It is interesting to see how they cooked it, which first dump it in boiling water for awhile before move to the cold water. So do give some time and you will have a decent bowl of noodles.
At this hawker centre beside the country club, you'll find a stall named "Guan Prawn Mee", that's where you check out! For prawn noodles, the prawns is definitely important. Here, you will find though small prawn but juicy and bouncy and they are quite generous, I got 5 in mine. Also, the scallops were so delish, fresh and juicy. The noodles were okay, the broth was quite okay, but had the sweetness of prawns. For a price of $4, pretty damn good. Thumbs up!
Portion big enough, flavourful broth, fresh prawns and definitely won't burn your pocket. 😋
