Since 1979, this family-run stall has been serving delicious, succulent barbecue chicken wings.
.
Their house secret marinade features up to 20 ingredients, including ginger, 5-spice powder, maltose syrup, and Shaoxing cooking wine.
.
Marinated for up to 2 hours, the chicken is then grilled on an innovative multi-tiered rack that enables low and slow cooking over charcoal.
.
With a clear sheen and paper-crisp skin, each juicy bite carries a burst of smoky meaty savoury salty spice flavour. Well executed, with a spicy tangy sour sweet dipping sauce of chili and lime juice on the side.

When you makan at such a hawker centre, the quintessential food orders always include chicken wing and it’s no exception this time round. Crispy and charred golden brown on the outside while retaining a juicy bite in the inside, these are the type of chicken wings that you can always not achieve during your own BBQs, and it’s best to just eat it here. Give it a squeeze of lime and dip it in their tangy chilli sauce for that zing as you chomp down on a perfect finger food snack.

These wings really take flight – eaten piping hot fresh off the fire, the thin and crispy skin is well marinated whilst the meat within is tender and juicy. A squeeze of lime and dab of chilli sauce completes the experience. I could easily polish off 10 of these with beer.

[East Coast Lagoon Food Village] Looking at all the food pics on my feed is making me hungry so here's a photo of some Charcoal BBQ Chicken Wings ($1.30 each) from Ah Hwee BBQ Chicken. The aroma of the chicken wings made my head turn and it pulled my nose towards it. What happened next was some finger licking good wings followed by the remains of the bones.
