Served freshly made with each order, this Chinese flatbread is perfect for a snack or paired with some sides, a light lunch.

The first few bites reminded me of a prata because of how crispy and flaky it was.

The Chinese flatbread is indeed very flat so there isn't much room for fillings, but I could definitely taste some slivers of scallion and chicken here and there. The sesame is also lightly roasted from bring in the oven so I'd say that gives the guo kui it's strongest flavour.

The texture of this was great when they make it fresh! Crisp and light, not oily at all. I like to believe it isn't that sinful a snack. I usually go for the savoury flavours as they taste more unique. Decided to try this today as an after-meal dessert. It is a good red bean pastry, but there wasn't much brown sugar fragrance I could taste. Definitely prefer the savoury flavours.

Spicy Sour Noodles: Extremely oily and noodles canโ€™t be chew.

็บข็ณ–่ฑ†ๆฒ™้”…็›” (Brown Sugar Red Bean Guo Kui) ($2.90) (original price - $2.60) prices increased by 30 cents probably the ingredients increased ๐Ÿค” it was quite crispy pancake but I felt red bean overpowered brown sugar. Red Bean filling was quite sweet and a bit of brown sugar aftertaste. It's best for eating when served in hot but cannot eat on outside due to CB Period ๐Ÿ™„

This features a large all-purpose flour flatbread, spread with a filling of pickled mustard greens / suan cai, and Sichuan / Szechuan style mala chili peppercorn grilled barramundi fish.
.
Studded with sesame seeds, the fragrant flatbread has a light crispy texture and a smoky bready sweet flavour, while the filling has a moist tender soft chew and robust salty sour savoury spicy flavour.
.
A delicious gourmet guo kui.

This sweet guo kui resembles the Chinese Red Bean Paste Pancake dessert.
