Vannessa, the co-founder and owner of @poketheorysg had gotten in touch with me to send poke bowls and other healthy bites. That’s how me and my family ended up with a hearty and unusually healthy (by my standards anyway 😂) lunch.
I found their Poke Bowls travelled well as they were still cold to the touch when I received them (this matters a great deal since raw tuna and salmon are involved). Presentation didn’t suffer either - every item retained its fresh and attractive appearance, as though it had just been prepared a couple of minutes before.
Whether you opt for their Signature Poke Bowls (S: $13.40 / Regular: $16 / Large: $19) or Customise one entirely tailored to your preference (which is what I did), you will receive a bowl brimming with quality ingredients and tastiness. It is a combination that has spelled continuous success for over the last four years for this locally-grown brand created by a pair of siblings.

Got the smallest available size ($9.90). You can select a variety of greens, and up to 2 poke. I chose the spicy mayo salmon and mentaiko salmon, which were both very delicious. Topped it off with the free garnishes of garlic chips, furikake and tobiko. There is also a variety of sauces for you to choose from e.g. shoyu, spicy mayo etc. The completed bowl tastes so flavourful and yet healthy at the same time. The place is really cozy and the lunch crowd isn’t that bad as most people opt for takeaway. The staff were really friendly as well!

Love the "build-your-own-bowl" concept, managed to build a colorful and savory bowl of poke that I thoroughly enjoyed!

Your usual "takeaway style" poke bowl, though it was refreshing to have a plethora of interesting toppings to choose from (think pineapple, mandarin oranges, etc.) I also liked that we can add whatever sauces we like from the sauce bar, rather than have to commit to only one type of sauce. As you can see from the picture, I liked the mentaiko sauce and avocago creme best!

highly recommend the avocado salmon, super tasty and quite generous with their portions!!! added on cashew nuts which was glazed with honey, super tasty and definitely worth it!!! the small bowl (~$9) was quite filling 👍🏼

Spicy mayo salmon ($12.50) with additional charge for the teriyaki edamame premium topping. A bit costly seeing as the regular toppings are nothing spectacular- cherry tomatoes, pineapple, cucumbers. Nevertheless a failsafe option when hankering for poké.

Rly pretty much the only place I go to get my poke fix cos it’s so darn good I esp love the wakame, Lime Avo n roasted cashews + ofc salmon poke cos it’s soft w a great bite. I get it w quinoa base all the time cos it’s a healthier option hoho

Food Quality: 8/10
Worth: 8/10
Portions: 7/10

Price: $10.90 - Light Bowl (addition of avocado)

Salmon cubes were very fresh and blended well with the shoyu sauce. Copious amounts of ingredients (honey pineapples, cherry tomatoes, sweet corn, etc)
Love the generous portion of avocado for $1 more! Feeling really healthy after the meal:)
However, would be more worth it if their cashew nuts were priced more affordably instead of $2 additional charge

Highly recommended for a healthy lunch!

As a LCHF / occasionally keto practitioner, A Poke Theory has been my favorite place to get my lunch fix for the recent 2 years I worked in the CBD.

I was super overjoyed to find that they have also opened a spot in Somerset, so I can still get my favourite salmon poke bowls working as a start-up from home. Gotta love the airy design with lots of light from the full length windows, really elevates the ambience as compared to my usual outlet. Will definitely hold more lunch meetings here!

🥙!
Generous amount of salmon.
Worth giving it a try!

A well-loved player in the Poke scene, you get fresh sushi with generous toppings to go on rice. My favourite way to have this is to add on Kale Chips for a crunch in the bowl!

Affordable poke bowls !!! My bowl cost me only $9.90 :) !! Worth it for all who want to try !! They have three different sizes and personally i think the smallest which is this one in the picture is good enough for me :) you could top it up with a lot of toppings of your choice !! Add ons for $1/$2 depending on what you choose as well :) There’s on near somerset ! do check it out :)

A poke theory recently changed their sides to include corn and beetroot! The beetroot is pickled and quite interesting but the corn was slightly lacking in flavour. Pro tip is to add wasabi to the avocado sauce for an awesome new flavour!! And add the fried scallions too ☺️ #burpple #burpplesg

Tried a few poke bowl but this has got to be my fav one. Their fish is fresh and taste good! The seaweed is great too. Will continue to support them!

My usual order whenever I patronise Poke Theory. Why is eating healthy such an expensive thing to do 🤦🏼‍♀️⁣

When they combine two of my favourites - avocado and salmon! 😍 The bowl also comes with cherry tomato, pineapple, carrot, cucumber, seaweed and almond! Perfect dish for those who are looking to go for balanced diet in CBD!

And the detox starts. Nah, who am I kidding, the fat life chose me.

I got this through Mealpal so the toppings have already been selected by default. The raw carrots and cucumbers were pretty bland and I didn't care for them. I especially dislike raw carrots. Everything else was great, I really liked the smoked almonds and wakame strips. They were also pretty generous with the avocado salmon, which was really interesting. All in all a very healthy and satisfying meal!

Will always order the chuka seaweed when i’m here. Love the taste with the pineapples!

[Non-MealPal price $9.90] original mealpal was supposed to come with brown rice but it ended up as a sushi rice version. I actually preferred the mild vinegar taste! I also liked this spicy salmon much more than the Avo salmon that I tried for mealpal #1/18, cos spicy 😊 still loving the crunchy texture of the wakame, and not loving the pineapple which is very dry. 4/5.
