You get 3 huge prawns in a separate bowl and another bowl of your choice of noodles (dry/soup)..

Appreciate that the prawns were half peeled and fresh but they weren't as juicy as I expected. Noodles were topped with a lot of pork lard as you can probably see from the photo. They were springy but nothing amazing and can be found in your neighbourhood hawker stalls too.

Definitely above average. But not worth the $20 if you ask me. I would take Old Airport Road's anytime over this.

What used to be one of my favourite laksas has now become an extremely disappointing offering from Toast Box. I used to like it for it's mee tai mak (chubby and short white noodles πŸ˜…) and above average freshness, fragrance and spiciness. But it's now all gone..

So so good. The soup here is the key to an exceptional bowl of mee soto as it is extremely flavourful. The chilli is so intense too that it's begging to be eaten. Remember to go with a bergedil. MUST EAT. πŸ˜‹

Ramen here was about above average I would say. Nothing special but a really solid version nonetheless. A tad expensive, ippudo would taste better at about the same price though. But if I were in the area having ramen, this is the place to go.

P.S. Not sure if I got the dish name right, feel free to correct me in the comments. πŸ˜…

Gyoza here was on point. Served at optimal temperature (what I really meant was it's hot). It really felt like I could smell the pan the gyozas were cooked in the moment I put a piece of this in my mouth. I could taste the sweetness of the pork and the freshness of the almost-burnt skin just in one bite. Highly recommend. πŸ˜‹

Was raved by many of my colleagues on how good this is. Manage my expectations they say, and I did. Went to try this finally but wasn't blown away.

The soup was way too peppery for my liking and covers all the supposed fragrance of what you would expect in a bak kut teh soup, if any. My staples to go with bak kut teh - mee sua and fried fritters - were not up to standard too. For me mee sua must not be too thick yet maintain a certain degree of spring, fried fritters must of course be crispy.

To be frank, I'm sure there's some place that serves a much better rendition of this traditional dish. Looking forward to a really good bowl of bak kut teh; till next time.

Kind of regretted getting this as I don't eat some of the seafood in this bowl. But the soup was really really fragrant and tasty. Will go back for this comfort food! πŸ˜‹

While this is not the best Korean fried dumplings that I have had, it is really authentic and brought me back to my exchange days. Jinjja added what seemed like sesame sauce which I will always approve. πŸ˜… It is however still something you should order if you like fried dumplings.

Don't even bother ordering this. Just 3 pieces of teok and it's not that they are amazing.

First time trying this restaurant and style of ramen. Not the most value for money but the quality is definitely there. Their in-house sauce brings together all flavours of the ingredients that you see in the bowl; better than the sum of its parts some would say. Can't really describe the taste but overall it has a hint of sesame. Will go back! πŸ˜‹

First time trying Toasties and we walked out really impressed with the quality of their sandwiches. We had the Garlic Oregano Loaf as bread (given recommendation by the staff that it's not too tough or soft), Garlic Aioli as sauce (goes well with chipotle chicken and Garlic Rosemary for the fries (yup all things garlic). I would say it's a better version of Subway in terms of quantity and quality. Must try! πŸ˜‹

An extremely disappointing effort from PORN'S. The chicken and vegetables still have the raw (not fresh) smell. While the green curry tastes authentic and is actually pretty good, it still fails to save the entire dish. Do not order this.
