Most salad/grain bowls serve up similar stuff these days but I really enjoyed the broccoli puree served here! It was creamy and paired well with the brown rice. Other than that, the roasted pumpkin and kimchi were pretty good too.
Take note their menu is slightly different from the one provided on the app! Got the regular spiciness and I’m not sure if it was a mistake by the waitress but the ramen was not spicy at all 😂 I had to load up on the spice condiments provided on the table. Personally felt there was nth special abt the ramen here and I’d prefer the other ramen place on Burrple that I tried in the same area!
Ordered this through Eatsy for the $5 off promotion so I ended up adding additional half portion of salmon! Came with three average-sized slabs of salmon which were grilled to perfection! Loved the peri peri sauce that came with it as well. Also one of the few places that do serve brussel sprouts and king oyster mushrooms as their vegetable sides!
There were two plump slabs of trout on top of a bed of zucchini noodles (great for those on keto)! This was such a treat to eat although I would say that trout looks and tastes really similar to salmon? The meat was really fresh and tender! 💯
I have never been a pasta person as I always felt that most places serve too much pasta with too little toppings but this dish proved me wrong! There was plenty of fresh crabmeat pieces tossed in this tomato cream sauce that went well with the tagliatelle (tastes like Italian banmian to me 😂) If you like your spice, sprinkle it with some red chili flakes to oomph it up! Might get a little gelat to finish the whole thing so do consider sharing it with your dining companion!
WHEAT is always so generous with their toppings! In this bowl, there is teriyaki chicken, salmon sashimi (supposed to be mentaiko but they ran out of sauce), avocado and onsen egg. You can choose soba, rice or lettuce as your base. This is definitely one that will fill you up! The iced yuzu drink was refreshing and not too sweet too. Paid $23.90 for everything!
Trying something different from my usual sashimi dons/grain bowls! This was surprisingly good. The meat of the barramundi was soft and flaky while the squid-ink crust added a nice bite to the dish. I really liked the accompanying mixed sprouts salad that had a refreshing dressing to it. Do get their wood-fired sourdough which we later paired with the avocado sauce on this plate. 💯 However, at a price of $28, it is a tad pricey and I would only come back if there are still burrple discounts!
Got romaine lettuce as base, cajun chicken for protein, pumpkin and onsen egg as the sides. Overall, it was quite decent and yummy but without the Burrple discount, I would prefer Daily Cut since the same price would fetch me the medium bowl there! Plus points for the ample seating in the cafe though.
Took my first bite before remembering to take a picture 😂 Have tried avocado toasts from many cafes but this has gotta be one of the top favourites! Two huge slices of sourdough slathered with generous amount of avocado spread and MORE avocado slices then topped off with perfectly poached eggs. 💯 if you are an avocado fan. There’s some bits of corn within the avocado spread which I didn’t mind either. Smoked salmon was an add-on but could use without since the toast was already yummy and substantial on its own!
First time trying jaffles which are essentially toasted sandwiches. Felt that they could have gone easy on the sauces since the fillings were already rather flavorful! If you don’t like food with too heavy flavors, this could be a little gelat after a while. But overall, very filling and yummy brunch at $15 for both dishes.
Wanted to like this since I am a fan of anything coffee and this was also one of the signature items on their menu. The espresso butter was decent but there was not enough to go around with the entire pancake. The pancake was also literally drenched with maple syrup which made it too sweet! Should have asked for the syrup on the side.
Felt that the Eggs Benedict was quite ordinary and the toast was soggy by the time we had it. But i liked the Taisho M.A.D milk which was a tasty blend of cold brew coffee and nut milk (great for the lactose-intolerant)! It might be a bit of an acquired taste for many though.
