Salmon Sashimi - Really fresh and tender! The only thing about this is that it didn’t come as cold as I liked it to be!
Garlic Butter Clam Udon - I love love the sauce! I thought it would be overpowering and gelat, but somehow they manage to pull it off. The sauce is creamy and garlicky, and goes really well with the chewy udon! Highly recommend to try! :)
Wagyu beef udon soup - Loved this as well! The soup is so so light, and the aftertaste is so unique. The beef taste a bit like a beef patty, but it’s sooo juicy and tender and flavourful. Also not overly heavy and gelat!!!
Japanese ice cream waffle - The waffle had a unique aftertaste and the ice cream was very creamy!!
Overall, a pleasant experience! A really cozy cafe and the waiters there were all very very professional!
This is very very average - 5/10.
Not a fan of the waffle texture, it’s on the overly chewy side, it’s not crispy on the outside. The waffle is very very thick, but still edible. The ambience here is great though :)
Servings are also humongous!
The unique thing about this place is that the soup will be boiled based on the ingredients you choose. So no MSG, I would think it’s healthier (?) than most hotpots! Also, you can go up to the fridge and select and take the dish yourself! Most of the drinks as well!
The server will also cook some of the base ingredients in the hotpot for you before proceeding to add the soup! I loveee the soup, it doesn’t take very heavy as most hotpot places, but it has a v subtle and refreshing taste to it!
Other than that, pretty much v average. It’s around 25 to 30 bucks per pax, so it’s not cheap!
This dish was honestly average, the only thing that stood out was the HONEY MASCARPONE. Sooooo good, I finished every bit of it. Not really a fan of the anchovy butter (maybe it’s an acquired taste!), but even the egg was vvv average, not too much taste to it.
I absolutely love the matcha latte though!!!! It’s soooooo creamy, but for those who like the strong matcha taste, this is definitely not for you! It’s just v subtle, v creamy, and it’s really surprising how the matcha blends so well. I don’t see any powder hanging around! It’s slightly on the sweet side, so I let the ice melt for a bit, and afterwards it’s heavenly 💕
As they ran out of the cheese to go with the royal ragu pasta, I ended up making my own! The pasta was soooo fresh, and this was one of the rare times where I could tell this pasta was handmade. The pasta texture was just right (very QQ and chewy!), and the sauce was also not too sweet. Really great place :) would definitely come back!
I had the chicken cutlet with Korean noodles dish! It was very hearty and true serving was substantial. The chicken was perfectly cooked, very crispy on the outside but very tender and soft on the inside!! :) I was afraid the noodles were gonna be too spicy for my liking but it was just right!
Super crispy on the outside and then chewy and moist on the inside! Cooked to perfection! Doesn’t become soggy even with ice cream!)!!?
Apollo Cafe’s Food did not disappoint at all!!!! We ordered the wurst and salmon soba bowl! Wurst serving was on the small end, but rosti was really crispy! As for the salmon soba bowl, the salmon was cooked perfectly - moist and melts in your mouth, also v flaky! The noodles weren’t too dry! The portions could be larger though, and the prices were quite expensive for the portions ): but still amazing high-quality food!
