Build Your Own Bowl We came at the wrong time, when they're not serving their main menu, so this was the only food. I had kalua pulled pork, sauteed mushrooms, roasted carrot and, of course, onsen egg. It is what it is.

Some Hits, Some Misses The flavours of the dishes are fairly consistent, over our 2 visits. However, the portions of some of the dishes are fairly small, and would not be enough for most people. Some must-try dishes are the Maui dream (croissant with crab and scrambled eggs) as well the Oceans of Mentaiko.

Blue Burger ($45++) Tanuki Raw has recently launched their new Blue Burger, exclusively available at their National Design Centre outlet. This burger includes a 250g hand-chopped premium wagyu beef short rib tartare patty that’s lightly seared and seasoned with Tanuki Raw's sianature spice blend, sandwiched between soft and fluffy slow-roasted Yaki Imo Milk Bread, and topped with house pickles and Emmental cheese. If you like your beef on the rarer side, this is definitely the burger for you! It is also served together with a side of Mentai Cheese Waffle Fries that are crispy and savoury! The Blue Burger is available from now till 31 Dec 2022, via pre-order on their website with a 10 days notice.

Grain Bowl There’s a few places in CBD serving grain bowl, including Workspace that located in MBFC Tower 3 level 1. Unlike others, they do have only limited choices for their protein and side dish.

After a week and weekend of indulgences, today’s lunch was a healthy one, well, almost! Couldn’t resist the roast pork. The crackling was so good, crunchy and the pork not too fatty! Love the garlic black rice too.

Healthy working lunch from Workspace Expresso. Millet with chickpeas and rice as base, miso salmon for proteins and for vege, eggplant with yoghurt, French beans with garlic and cauli and broccoli. Pomegranate dressing on the side and topped with Chia and pumpkin seeds.

Mao Shan Wang Durian Creme Brûlée The staff at Carol Mel Cafe recommended the Mao Shan Wang Durian Creme Brûlée (S$9.00), and I seriously wonder why they did not want to put this in their menu. For those who thinks size matters for their dessert, this bowl may seem to be a tad mini to the eyes. However, its taste that’s rich of MSW durian, and the solid layer of torched sugar on the top is beyond words. If you are a hardcore durian lover, please eat one portion by yourself. And yah. Why is it not listed in their menu?
