Affordable cafe in the heartlands We tried the coconut Pandan Mille crepe. If you have it in the store, comes with some cute chocolate sauce! I love the flavour profile of the coconut Pandan and it’s quite good! Also tried the Belgian chocolate, French vanilla and lavender crepes flavours ➡️ Like the Belgian chocolate and French vanilla Find the lavender crepe a bit plain - no distinct lavender. With the burpple deal, the price point is very good. If visiting, would recommend giving the crepes a try.

Affordable cafe in the heartlands Ordered the Japanese curry omu rice with chicken cutlet. Pretty decent portion for the price! With the burpple deal, it’s a good and hearty dish! I think good to share this with the gyudon.

Waste of time After going into the trouble to visit, read the very extensive list of exclusions and deciding on the order, they notified they they only had available a very small subset of the menu (5 options only) and refused to honour the burpple deal and insisted they had never heard of it

Gyudon ($15.90) Honestly not expecting much from a “Western-Asian” fusion cafe but this is surprisingly good! Beef was cooked well and the sauce resembles teriyaki, but not too sweet. The way they made the egg is so cute and it’s a nice surprise to get a lava egg yolk 😄 Highly recommend to use Burpple for the 1-for-1 deal!

Burpple 1 For 1 I tried the Egg Benedict and Gyudon. It was to my expectations of how egg Benedict taste like. On the other hand, Gyudon was really good!! A definitely must-try dish. Desserts was alright (Chocolate and lavender Mille crepe cake) but the drink were slightly diluted. I’m definitely coming back for their main dish! Each person is about $15 for drinks and desserts. Chillax brunch 1-for-1 At katong Family friendly cafe for brunch. Open at 9am and give you the flexibility to choose the suitable brunch time between “breakfast” and “lunch” ha. Food is acceptable and burrple make sweeten the whole deal. A variety of aromatic teas to choose from.

Smooy Classic Yogurt ($6.50) Finally back after a long time (used to frequent smooy a lot before I shifted). Price has increased by $1, while portion..reduced. While the toppings were nice and sufficient, one yogurt was lesser than the other. Still taste the same after all these while which is a plus point 👍🏻 just hope the serving size can be more consistent and not too little. Will be back to give it another chance.

1 for 1 Classic Quick and easy redemption at PLQ! Got 2 yoghurts and tried both the original and the dragonfruit. Dragonfruit version somehow tasted more like blueberry as it was slightly sour. Overall both tasted great but I still prefer the original. Staff here were also quite generous with the sauces. Would return to use the other deals but wished there were more deals that are just for 1 Classic (1+1) instead of two cups (2+2).

Argentina striploin Ordered the striploin. We got the wedges and sautéed mushrooms on the sides. We ordered a medium steak, and I enjoyed the portion. Heard that they are closing down soon though due to high rent. Would miss this place.

Mushroom spinach ravioli Love this rendition of ravioli cause it’s not creamy. It’s tasty. Ordered this a few time and would always order again.

Pretty decent bubble tea! A relatively new bubble tea store, Cha Yu Fan Hou is now in Pasir Ris. We got the Earl Grey Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Pearls ($5.90 large cup 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond) and the Passion Fruit Green Tea ($5.40 large cup 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond). The Earl Grey Milk Tea had a good fragrance without being too strong. Brown sugar pearls were chewy, but they were too sweet towards the end. 0% sugar option will be good with the brown sugar pearls! The Passion Fruit Green Tea was light, quite sour and refreshing. Getting 0% sugar for this was a good choice! Pretty decent drinks and might just be worth it with the 1 for 1 on #burpplebeyond!

Live Crab Combo Each live crab combo consists of live crab (approx. 800g), prawn (350g), clam (300g), corn, chicken sausage and a choice of sauce. The choice of sauce available is signature cajun (mild/spicy), zesty garlic butter, white pepper cream, mala and beurre blanc 》$108 The portion of seafood was enough for 2 pax. It was served piping hot and then poured onto the table like a messy seafood affair for sharing. The signature cajun (mild) sauce has the right level of spiciness and went deliciously well with the fresh and succulent seafood. Fret not about getting your clothes or hands dirty because disposable bibs and gloves are provided 😊

Seafood lunch Couldn't bear to order the seafood bucket with just two of us. Ordered the fried rice (sorry it's half eaten) and laksa grilled fish (rather light taste). Total damage: $50 after burpple discount
