Can i say this is by far the best ribs i’ve had! The tender baby backribs dry-rubbed with generous herbs baked patiently for 3 hours. The loads of caramelised onions sweetened and complemented the barbecue sauce so so well, kept light but well flavoured with all the blend of herbs. Indulged in between those lightly crisped buttered focaccia bread sprinkled with roasted sesame. Time consuming but i finish down to the very last bit of those sauce.

Not gonna start another count. Just glad the darkest days are over. Lets contain our excitement and resist the urge of heading out, the battle is not over. We can, however, still celebrate mini victories with this huge-ass Giant raindrop cake that Eu made. 😂 Definitely not gonna think how we are finishing it, but that brown sugar goes really well with the raindrop cake, and a little variation of matcha powder or biscuit crumbs added to the magic. Previously shared the recipe (pretty easy) for making the raindrop cake a few posts back, so here is for the brown sugar: boil 1 cup of preferred brown sugar in 1 cup of water and stir. Ratio is 1:1. We bought the pack of brown sugar from Fairprice.

Can’t believe eu and i spent the past 3 monthsary dates cooped up at home and tied up with work, not able to celebrate. However, I’m still thankful for him for making my time at home fun and loving even though it was a busy day for both of us yesterday and the past few months. On several occasions we cant even have meals together. Fret not, we have the rest of our lifetime to make up for it and when this is over, lets have a whale of our time then. Happy xx mths dating & wedding monthsary to you though it’s supposed to be yesterday.😅

Added clams, prawn dumplings, onsen egg, sliced oyster mushrooms, chopped scallions and a spoonful of kimchi for the extra omph factor! (Feel free to add more kimchi to enjoy it as your kimchi ramen too) I used the steamed & baked instant noodles made from whole grains from @theofficalkoka Delight series here. The chicken flavour makes a good soupbase and pairs well with kimchi. Comforting food is always a good motivation when working from home, even more so when it is time-saving too.

Gotten the pre-packed sambal chilli and our own stingray, put them in aluminum foil and pop into the toaster oven. The stingray is so chunky and huge that i was full from just that. Guess that’s the difference of homecook and bought it outside, the quantity. The sambal chilli i used here is from Singlong brand and it’s really good.

Added kecap manis/teriyaki sauce, sliced cheese to give that melted pull and mayonnaise which made it taste like okonomiyaki minus the bonito flakes. And we just have to top it up with bacon. While Eu prefers to make it like a taco 🌮 with fillings wrapped inside. Turns out pratas are fun instant snacks even when you dont wish to pair it with the normal curry.

Late breakfast by the man who stuff the wholemeal bread into our baking pan, lay some bacon slices in them, crack an egg and fill it up with cheeses before popping them into the oven for a quick bake! Totally spices up the egg-and-toast norm. Simple yet fun. Oh and he leaves the bread edge on so that it is crispier!

Thinking back, i think i did a similar version of Egg Muffin last year in Jan. You can find it using this hashtag #JoEuGoCook.

Nonetheless happy that the man is feeding me. Alittle too well.

On our own, we stuffed in a thick slice of butter and panseared ham, bacon and sliced cheese to go with some mocha and white coffee. This combination never goes wrong.

Totally happy with how the thin batter turns out and it is really simple, only pepper with flour. Eh wait, today is PH ah? 😅
