TGIF feels....

for Korean BBQ and definitely for one of the best one in Singapore would be @eightkoreanbbq! Just have to love their 8 Colour Pork Belly - every different "Colour" is of a different flavour from original to wine, miso and curry.
This was a tasting by @eightkoreanbbq, thank you @juicyfingers for extending the invitation 🙌🏻

Weekends call for a good chilling session over Yucha Makgeolli ($35).

The refreshing flavoured Korean rice wine is brewed in-house and perfect to go with the shiok bbq here!

Bingsu dressed as bibimbap ($28) makes a more interesting rendition of bingsu.

House-made milk ice, strawberries, kiwi, grapes, marshmallows and crunch provided a party of textures and flavours. Seriously addictive!

One of last night's favourites.

Yucha Makgeolli ($35) was really delicious, with lots of yuzu in there! This is not to be missed for makgeolli lovers!

My favourites are:
🔸Herb: fragrant rosemary aroma that stays evident even as the meat is cooked
🔸Garlic: lifts the whole flavour
🔸Red pepper: I find this is the most flavourful of all, apart from the miso

Bibimbap bingsu ($28). Fruits, red bean, cookies and marshmallows are made to look like sides of a bibimbap while a peach half and cream is used to make it look like an egg. A fun play on the appearance of a bibimbap. The soft and fluffy milk ice beneath is really the bomb 😍. Would definitely love to have more milk ice! .

8 colours set, one of the specialties at 8 Korean BBQ. It consist of wine, original, kalbi, garlic, herbed, curry, miso, red pepper paste. Start from the first four milder taste before moving on to the stronger flavours. My personal favourites were wine, original, garlic and red pepper paste. They even put a plastic on the meat while it cooks to prevent oil splatters and to prevent the smells from getting onto our clothes. (Works a little but not entirely 😂) At $98, it includes the 8 slices of pork belly and army stew! 🤤 This is definitely a good amount for 4 normal eaters! The army stew was more like a kimchi stew with ra myeon, sausage, ham and spam. .

Yucha makgeolli consist of organic home brewed makgeolli mixed with citron. This light and refreshing makgeolli is super easy to drink! 😋

Bibimbap Bingsu

The craze for bingsu seems to have died down but it's always a good idea for this weather!

Also, just look at the amount of effort in this beautiful bingsu; what a clever use of common ingredients with the fun factor of mixing it all up like a bibimbap and you've got yourself a sweet end to the meal. A myriad of textures from the soft marshmallow, crushed oreos, granola, crunchy grapes, sweet/sour strawberries and kiwi, refreshing pineapples and red beans topped with a clever guise of peach with whipped cream as egg. But what I really love here is the bed of snowy fluffy shaved milk ice beneath which I thought was one of the better ones around and it got us digging around for more😂. The proportion of ingredients to snow ice is too generous - more of that milky goodness please!!!

Hot weather calls for a...

Bingsu! This was just the perfect dessert to cool off. Cooling house-made milk ice and 8 refreshing ingredients like assorted fruit 🍓🍇🥝, marshmallows and crunch. Don't forget to drizzle Hershey's hot fudge for a delicious ending😋 In case you are wondering, this is not a bibimbap😂

So the house made milk shaved ice is something that I adore, coming from a guy who doesn't eat Bingsu much #kakigori & #IceKachang.
It's Milky, Smooth & almost Creamy. Topped with Red Beans, Strawberries, Oreo Crunch, Mango, Cornflakes, Grapes, Marshmallows, Kiwi, with Whipped Cream & half of a can Peach. 😋

ACAMASEATS💮: For 💵S$28 is expensive for a Bingsu, however if you consider the workmanship it takes for just an order of this is truly painstakingly time consuming. It's good don't get me wrong, but I'd rather do 20 Ice Kachang &/or 2 Kakigori. 🖖🏻
