Went back with a slightly reduced appetite as compared to my other visits and just opted for a single patty burger and shoestring fries

Sadly, the hype I had for all my previous visits (always double patty) was not met by the single πŸ₯² though the sauce is a good saving grace, the overall burger is a bit flat (literally and not). I find the shoestring fries more enjoyable too as compared to the sweet potato one (personal bias on potato fries lol)

Not sure if this was a one-off thing for their single burgers, but I will only return for doubles (no fail so far) πŸ˜‚

Here, it's either beef or fish. I haven't tried BurgerLabo and in a twist of fate I ate this first. Well, I should've chosen fish. This seriously reminded me of McDonald's cheeseburger, albeit with a slightly thicker patty and lots of onion that kept distracting me from the fact it's just McDonald's.

Was intending to try BurgerLabo but by a happy accident (since they are closed on Mondays), ended up in 2280 (also by BurgerLabo)

Menu is quite limited (I think only 2-3 items for now for burgers?). I opted to try the 2280 Burger (double patty) with their Sweet Potato Fries. I loved the burger a lot. The simplicity of the burger (exterior) with just the patty, melted cheese, and pickled onion, is won over by the taste - each bite is packed and satisfying. The patty is quite lean and coarse but still tender and flavourful. The onions give a good hint of contrast to the meaty taste (esp I had double).

Liked the fries as well. I was never a fan of sweet potato fries but enjoyed this serving - crunchy and sweet. Nice contrast to the fluffy burger

Place is quiet with industrial feels. It’s very close to my place as well and can easily visit

The beef patties, made from grass-fed Aberdeen Angus neck, were already plenty beefy on their own, but 2280 Burger injects a boost of flavour with the addition of beef garum to the patties.

Pretty stoked to have heard that 2280 Burger had recently opened their doors at 213 Henderson Road; the building is just located a short distance away from Bukit Merah Bus Interchange, and is opened by the same folks behind Burger Labo at Malan Road within Gillman Baracks β€” also the same folks that had brought us The Naked Finn. Service is pretty much self-service here, with burgers being made to order; order through the self-order kiosk and collect the order at the window once your order number has been called. Currently there is only the 2280 Burger available on the menu, with a choice of a single or double patty variant whilst the only sides here are the standard fries. Folks can opt for house-brewed tea, milkshakes churned using ice-creams from Apiary, while specialty coffee is brewed using beans roasted by Tiong Hoe Specialty Coffee.

Opting for the single patty variant of the 2280 Burger, the 2280 Burger may look like a very basic cheeseburger, but it does its job especially well β€” beef patty, sliced cheese, pickled onions all sandwiches in between the two buns; really liked how well the patty is being executed here. The beef patty may not be the same as what Burger Labo offers in terms of size, but the 100gm patty is just the right size for those who aren’t looking to get overly stuffed here. It’s beautifully brined and marinated; the texture being more on the lean side but still provide a good bite β€” all savoury, chunky and slightly crusted from the grilling process. The melted cheese atop seals the deal, and the pickled onions seems to have been mixed with bits of pickles for that tangy, refreshing crunch that cuts through the meat, while the buns are sufficiently light and fluffy. A very well put-together cheeseburger that ranks high up in the charts for me.

Burger Labo has been known for their stellar burgers which are of a gourmet nature β€” the burgers there featuring fancier composition and elements, but 2280 Burger is an establishment that seems to be catered towards the masses; more of a fuss-free spot that makes for artisanal offering pitched against the upmarket fast food options that had made their entry into the F&B scene in recent years. Hoping that they are able to add on more variation of meats for their burgers soon β€” perhaps a chicken, pork, or fish option that would cater to non-beef eaters so that more can get to enjoy their stellar creations in time to come!

Located in Henderson Industrial Park at Blk 213, #01-10, they offer a compact menu at the moment consisting of beef burgers (choose between single or double patties dressed in the default combo of cheese, housemade sauce and pickled onions unless you opt out), really crispy fries, and for drinks - it’s milkshake supplied by @apiary.sg, coffee from @tionghoespecialtycoffee, house-brewed iced teas and beer.
The meat for 2280 Burger’s patties is ground twice, retaining a coarseness for extra bite. Chef @markerpenn of @nakedfinn created the garum to season it, so it’s really umami. We tried both versions of the burger and I’d recommend going for the single if you want something balanced and the double if you’re a hard-core appreciator of meat like me 😁 (Manager Widjaya had kindly acquiesced to our request of adding a fried egg but that was only because they happened to have a few on hand).
Prices are lower here than at @burgerlabo, so yup, this is undeniably good value quality burgers we are talking about.
