Pistachio and Hazelnut Gelato πŸ’•
A sweet treat that I have given myself last week.

I still can't resist Pistachio and Hazelnut although, they seem 'too nutty' for some. πŸ˜‰ Satisfying, but I just noticed that they increased their prices. Sigh. πŸ˜”
You know you're too busy when a photo taken last week is just being uploaded today. 😁

Cappucino (large cone: $8.90)

A rich coffee flavour coupled with the smooth and creamy texture that Venchi's gelato is known for, made this thoroughly satisfying. By the way, I got this at their newest takeaway outlet at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.

VENCHI

GELATO
---------------
Finally got my hands on @venchi1878 gelato!

There are 10 available flavors, of which there's varying types of chocolate flavored ones like milk-based and hazelnut infused etc.
.
Azteco gelato is a dark chocolate water-based gelato. It's a luxuriously dark and rich gelato that doesn't contain milk. The gelato is really smooth, like gliding down your throat. The mango sorbet is just as intense and refreshing too. Seems like Takashimaya is getting more gelato competition there πŸ˜‚

Cuor Di Cacao / Giandujotto

Ended the night on a good note with these velvety, luscious, bittersweet Cuor Di Cacao & Giandujotto (hazelnut with chocolate, tasting vaguely like Ferrero Rocher). Also got the light and milky Stracciattella, generously strewn with chocolate chips! Mmhmmmmm.

Truly amazing Gelato 🍨

After hearing so much hype about this Italian gelato brand, I HAD to try some for myself. Got the Cuor Di Cacao (75% dark chocolate) and Hazelnut ($7.50 for a double scoop) and wow I fell with love with the incredibly smooth texture and richness. I guess I also chose the right pairing of flavours, for the bitter, decadent dark chocolate complemented the creamy, nutty Hazelnut really well!!! Definitely a must-try πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―

Whoooo Venchi Gelato has finally arrived in Singapore.

Seems like all the popular food around the world is slowly invading our shores. The gelato from Venchi reminds me of the smooth and rich gelatos I use to eat from Italy. Though they don't have the flavors I usually pick, they do serve a variety of equally tasty flavors such as pistachio, hazelnut, azteco ( water based chocolate) and milk based chocolate. They do offer free samples. After sampling, my favorite was definitely the azteco. The chocolate flavor was so rich, dark and intense that one scoop was not enough. In fact I could have 4 πŸ˜‚. One scoop goes for $5.90, medium with two scoops for $7.50. It's located at Takashimaya basement where all the food is. You can't miss it because it's right smack across GODIVA ❀️❀️❀️

For a Gelato Shopping Break

Besides its humble kiosk at the basement of Robinsons The Heeren, this scoop shop has taken up a permanent space in Takashimaya, just across from Godiva. Venchi's location makes it a must before and after shopping, and perhaps while lining up at Tai Cheong Bakery. The 130-year-old Italian creamery prides itself as a specialised chocolate shop, which explains why their chocolate gelato flavours are spot on β€” luscious, rich yet not overly so. There are three sizes ($5.90 for one, $7.50 for two, $8.90 for three scoops) and 10 gelato flavours to choose from. If you're new to the party, grab a few friends and share three scoops. The milk-based Pistachio, creamy chocolatey Giandujotto and Venchi's best offering β€” the Cremino Venchi, a medley of hazelnut and chocolate gelato β€” go excellently together.

Giandujotto & Cuor di Cacao

Burpple got me craving again.

A journey through the intense flavours of Venchi’s chocolate gelato range, I was immensely satisfied with my choices. The Giandujotto, which features a hazelnut base with chocolate swirls was well-balance just like our most loved chocolate - Ferrero Rocher while the Cuor di Cacao will fill your palate with the characteristic bitter undertone of dark chocolate. Though they melt surprisingly quick, the delicate yet rich cocoa flavour offers the all familiar Italian gelato delight that will win the hearts of any chocoholic. Delivering an incredible texture, Venchi range of chocolate gelato are really DA BOMB but their classic fruit gelato flavours are good too.

Nutty Gelato

Very good hazelnut and pistachio flavour! So nutty and creamy! Very worth it for $7.50 double scoops! Cone is crunchy and good too. Get the cone!

In Need Of A Luxury

Desperately in need of a luxurious gelato to melt the week days away. Was told the Hazelnut is the most popular flavour and boy, that nuttiness sans the overdose of sugar like other gelato places (this one is just nice) for a rocket ride to heaven. Best paired with their dark chocolate πŸ˜›

After having some world-class standard chocolates probably 1.5 years ago, Venchi has etched firmly in my mind as an excellent Italian gourmet chocolatier.

Recently, they launched their range of gelato in the Takashimaya outlet which got me very interested after the numerous visits by the @burpple community. Rightly so, I was attracted to two flavours which are Dark Chocolate and Hazelnut, and fortunately both were available when I was there. Priced at $7.50 for a double flavour scoop, it was so good that I didn't want to share with my other friends. Smooth and decadent, it's like throwback to my travels in Italy.

#nationalicecreamday

I had one medium-sized cup of gelato on Saturday.

Tonight, I was craving for more! And so I traveled from Boon Keng to Orchard after school just to satisfy my cravings. 😫 I had Stracciatella in cone ($5.90/1 scoop). 😜 It is just amazing how can one craving gives you so much happiness and satisfaction, especially after a tiring Monday! πŸ˜‚ Better start my week right with some gelato oh-oh-oh... 🍦🎢❀️
